Holistic and wellness are newer "buzz words" used by many practitioners today. This article is an explanation of what that means to us. For us it means treating the whole person. We treat people who have diseases, not diseases that have people. We look at every aspect of your being including physical, chemical and emotional. Each person is looked at depending on the goals they have for improving their health.

Our staff is dedicated to helping people reach their definition of optimum health. We have a variety of practitioners including: myself, a chiropractor, Dr. Joseph Wessels, a naturopathic physician, Dr. Stacie Baisch, an audiologist and Laura Holden who works with bionetics, non-cognitive biofeedback and homeopathic remedies. Our support staff includes Debbie Cutting and Lisa Sandifer running our front desk and insurance, Rene Beachem who helps me treating our patients and also doing our therapy and exercise programs. Jeanine Earnhart (also my wife) is our jack of all trades and helps us wherever we need her.

Our practice includes nutritional counseling, clearing emotional blockages to healing, spinal adjustments, balancing electromagnetics, detoxification programs, allergy desensitization, myofascial release using lasers and percussion, physiotherapy, exercise programs to improve flexibility. Dr. Baisch provides hearing testing and hearing aids.

We also team with other health practitioners on the island including massage therapists, pilates instructors, acupuncturists, and many others including the medical community.

To that end we are holding an open house on May 1, 2008. You are invited to come by from 5 to 8 p.m. to see our new office that has just been remodeled and expanded to 2100 square feet of space. Our whole staff will be there for you to meet and we will show and explain many of our treatment protocols. Islanders Insurance, our office partners will also be open as they just completed a remodel as well. That same night Lavendera Day Spa and Centergy Pilates will also hold an open house in conjunction with us.

We are located at 545 Spring Street, directly across from Inter Island Medical Center.

Lavendera Day Spa is located at 440 Spring St. and Centergy Pilates at 460 Caines St., all in Friday Harbor.
