After 20 years trying to find out why I suddenly started having severe migraines up to 3 days a week, I’ve finally found complete relief. I haven’t had a headache since starting the SpectraVision treatment, which indicated I was chronically dehydrated and had lots of toxicity. Other improvements I’ve noticed are much more energy, less gum disease problems and better sleep. I used to spend my days wearing a neck brace and avoiding anything that might give me a headache. I couldn’t even exer5cise without fear of bringing on a headache. Now I am walking often and plan to start yoga classes.

I have been a patient of Mark Earnhart’s since I moved to San Juan Island about 20 years ago, beginning with the occasional “ouch, I put my back out”, while my husband and I built our house. His skills as a chiropractor and his professional growth and development have seen me through 2 knee replacement surgeries, the development of scoliosis, and a horrendous automobile accident in which I broke my neck. 

I returned home in June of 2007, after nearly 2 months in the hospital. I could walk only 200 steps. I could not completely close my hands or manipulate light objects. The activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, feeding myself- were beyond my abilities and I was profoundly depressed. I began physical and occupational therapy and the highight of each Wednesday was my appointment with Mark.

Mark’s course of treatment began with the gentlest of physical adjustments, coupled with laser treatments aimed at easing pain, moderating depressions and hastening healing. I was able to take a laser home so that I could have the support of this therapy every day. Color and sound work during my office appointments and endless encouragement from Mark and Laura, helped me fight the depressions that made me miserable and hindered my physical recovery.

8 months have gone by since that first appointment in June. I can cook a meal, drive a car, hold a pen so that I can write a letter, and walk though the grocery store. The chiropractor-patient relationship that has developed over the years between Mark and I, and the friendship that developed along side it, helped my recovery tremendously. Mark’s willingness to incorporate new techniques and learning into his practice of chiropractic played a very significant part in that recovery, and his stress on care being WELLNESS care rather than ILLNESS care continues to support my healing. I owe tremendous thanks to everyone at the San Juan Holistic Healthcare Center.

Before I came to San Juan Holistic Healthcare, I was drained of energy all the time and was getting every flu virus that would come around.  I started feeling my energy increase within the first month.  I haven't gotten any flu bug yet, since I've been doing all they tell me to and it has been about 3 months!  My energy level still needs to get better, but I finally feel like I am on the road to feeling better!  My digestive problems have also improved GREATLY!
